deconstruction is not based on the authority of the bible, it's very post modern. Almost every one of these de conversions has at least partially been motivated by a rejection of the christian sexual ethic. People assume if you're saying that people should behave in a certain way sexually, then you're probably just trying to control people, or you're trying to prop up some institution of pow or. And so those truth claims are met with a deep level of suspicion.
