Right now the percentage of people that are vaccinated isr five percent or less. That's across mississippi, louisiana and alabama. More than 60 % of people in louisiana are not fully vaccinated. A lot of acy in this region is coming from rural, white conservatives and people of color. The vaccine skepticism appears to be coming from a history of medical distrust.
