Are There Ethical Limits for Federal Judges?
After jinny thomas texts were made public, a lot of people said, well, congress needs to act on supreme court ethics. So first of all, are there ethical limits for the justices? The answer is yes and no. They kind of exist already. There is a judicial code of conduct for federal judges. It's not a long list of things that judges aren't supposed to do. All of them are things that almost everybody would agree with.
