The Importance of Not Leaving Rumors in My Head
In 1989, John Sutter was in Romania when the country's political system blew up. He says he heard rumors that Iranians were sending troops to Bucharest during a civil unrest. The rumor spread so fast it left him with no choice but to act on what he saw as an "absurd sounding rumor" In some ways we're experiencing very similar things right now in this crisis, Sutter says.
