Don't Apologize for Things You Didn't Do Wrong
A lot of women, I think, have a pattern of apologizing. It's how we have been cultivated to be polite in terms of feeling like we're taking up space or thinking that we're doing something out of the ordinary as if we have to apologize for that. And so it's not just recognizing that we don't have to apologies for things that we didn't do wrong. It's that the fact that we say it as filler in order to soften our presence in others' presence.
