How to Be a Successful Musician

I'm just curious how open you are and what kinds of conversations you have with your students especially the ones who might be struggling financially. I mean it's one thing to tell them look you know you need to think about this this is a big decision but is there any responsibility to say like you don't have to do this? We actually say that very openly and when people visit and like presentations that we may make in public it's like look that obviously the department is not even 20 years old and people have been making it quite well in the music business for a lot longer than that.
