Rose Kennedy's Relationship With Jack Kennedy

Jackie did a lot to get closer to her husband, even to the point of heading to Georgetown University where she took some history and political science classes. But his political activities kept him away from home for most of Jackie's waking hours. When he had a spinal operation, which was followed by serious near fatal complications, she stayed with him in the hospital. And it was during this period that she encouraged him and supported him as he put together notes for a book called Profiles Encourage. He waited two weeks before going back to some women after the wedding.
