Is Your Sketchbook a Private Thing?

A lot of the sketches I speak to are urban sketches and their sketchbooks are mainly paintings and drawings. Your sketchbook is almost equally words and words may be put very beautifully as typography as calligraphy but essentially a lot of deep thoughts and your current thoughts. And you weren't simply drawing what you saw, but also making sense of or organizing and reorganizing the ideas in your head. So it becomes this very deeply private expression. And it's a little funny and people buy it. But like I'm not known for that that's not what my audience wants from me they want those thoughts all tangled together with little drawings.
