The Fed Is Moving Slower Than It Had Been in the Past
Powell said he's seen data that shows that people are glad that inflation is coming down. But then Powell said something that was pretty funny: People really don't like inflation. He even acknowledged that the federal government is supplying to help people deal with rising prices. When governments spend money, that doesn't support economic growth. If anything, it supports inflation.
