Do You Have Domain Specific Skills That Don't Transfer Well?
There is a distinction in cognive science between domain specific and domain general abilities. The cerebellum originally evolved to do sensory motor co ordination, but now what we're finding is the cerebellum doesn't care what it's co ordinating. It will also try and coordinate different elements of of attention. This initially people found this very weard when people are sitting absolutely still, close eyed in meditation. They're not moving around. But the serabellum is going crazy. Why?
