The History of Closure

There's been a lot of research into these structures over the years. The textbook PULI Functional Data Structures actually, everything's done in standard ML. It's been translated into closure and it works a little bit differently. When it makes sense to pull in a different approach for something, then the core developers in a particular Rich made those choices.
