Is There a Causal Structure in Relativity?

In special relativity, we instead have a different set of relations. At any point in time and space, I can look at my past. These are things that could affect me. And then outside of these two light cones, there's whole regions of space and time which are neither in my past nor in my future. So Einstein was the only person really trying to reconcile special relativity with gravity. He worked for nine or 10 years trying to solve this problem.
