The Myth of St. Patrick

There was a mythology emerging around St. Patrick that he is a performer of miracles and that this would spread all around the place. The Irish gave Britain back quite a lot of writing and Latin and knowledge that was being lost during the collapse of the Roman Empire. There's other stories about Patrick that are just straight from Irish mythology such as Patrick defeating the druids because Patrick could transform into a deer at any point - you won't find that one in the Bible.
