The Consequences of Using Glutes and Back Bends
The concern about using glutes and backbends is it's misguided. engaging the gluteal engagement in and of itself doesn't compress the lower back because those muscles don't even cross into the lumbar vertebrae Those muscles that would literally be like saying engaging my biceps compresses my shoulder it doesn't. The issue is going too far compresses the lower back so what do we need to do we just need to not go too far in any pose to the point of compression right but if we go the opposite direction say now don't use these muscles we're actually making a pretty big mistake.
