Intentionality Is the Key Characteristic of Mental Events

Intentionality is that in virtue of which we are outside of the material world as such. It is the beginning of a place in which we can act upon the world as free agents. To understand this, and to grasp the source of the unique freedom of human beings, something else is required. This is the joining of the intentionality between individuals. And so we arrive at a key fact - that we act out a Human will woven out of virtual space. Knowledge is neither simple cause nor simple effect; it's an aspect of shared knowledge.
