Running the Triple Option Is Harder on Your QBs
"This is basically modern day triple option football," he says. "I ran the triple option from the time I was in the sixth grade to the time I graduated high school." A lot of coaches in here, especially some of the older guys that have ran the triple. It's harder on your quarterbacks to learn how to run the triple because the decision making is so much faster. The reason you're comfortable with allowing a quarterback to make all those decisions on the fly is because of repetition.
