Dr. Bob has a drinking problem and he's running into a lot of difficulties, says Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Henrietta is going to be in the Oxford group for two and a half years. She gets word from Adolphine Weber that they're getting ready to foreclose on his home. And so this picture reminds me of what the Oxford group did and what we were doing in the early days. We would get up in the morning and we would say a prayer,. Then they would maybe read a little scripture or read from a devotional. They would listen for what God had to say to them that day. It was called checking. Malcholics didn't like that
