The Consequences of Deprivation Are Bigger in the North Than the South
If you're rich, it doesn't much matter where you live. If you're poor, it matters enormously. The disadvantage of being in the north is much bigger,. in terms of health for people in the more depraved areas than it is in the south. Do we know why that is? I think it may relate to the structure of opportunity. There's less opportunity to get out of that deprived situation than there is in the South.
