The result of the abortive coup was certainly to severely reduce Wagner. Whatever troops remain or haven't fled face the prospect of being absorbed directly into the military. Progosian believes his own rhetoric, those who know him say apparently that he does. I mean, he must have been planning this for some time. This is what the reporting would suggest. There are certainly some reports that say had help from Russian military commanders but this is coming from unnamed intelligence sources.
