Martin Luther King's Prayers
On January 30, 1963 a bomb exploded at the home of Martin Luther King Jr. His wife Coretta heard what sounded like a brick on the front porch and went to see if they were okay. She found out that his house had been bombed by Ralph Abernathy who was with him when it happened. When he got there hundreds of angry black residents were in front of his house talking back to police. He implored them specifically not to become panicked year to lose their heads. The crowd then goes dead silent as MLK delivers an impromptu sermon about non-violence.
