Another Norfolk Southern freight train carrying hazardous materials has derailed, this time in Van Buren Township near Detroit, Michigan. Local authorities reported that none of the train cars containing the hazardous materials were compromised in yesterday's incident. This comes on the heels of the Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio earlier this month,. where the release of toxic chemicals it was carrying has raised questions from residents about air, soil, and water contamination. The LA County Sheriff Robert Luna has tapped a former federal prosecutor to break up Deputy Gangs within the department. Eileen Decker will also ensure that the department complies with multiple settlements over excessive use of force committed by deputies.
