Heavy Metal Music in the Palm Desert

There's a desert in southern california called the pam desert. A type of music emerged from this desert in the early nineties. It was quite different and strange, but very influential. This is when im going off the folken rails and gone for something a bit mad. But i believe something similar happened in the 19 nineties.
