HBO is offering a discount to people who sign up for HBO Max for a year. The idea or their thesis is that the 12 month, 16 month carry through of that customer will then come into the $15-a-month plan. And when they're trying to amass subscribers, having that discount option available is extremely smart. There's new rings of power shown on Amazon and I wonder what would have happened if we were talking about Netflix versus HBO Max.
