The Differences Between Vanilla and Capsaicin
Capsaicin and vanilla have the same base unit. I didn't know that. Changing out a functional group, changing out a chain of atoms or the way they're arranged can really make a difference. And it's not too because I think that's regular folk. But you see this theme a lot in organic chemistry where you change out one group for another.
