Ibn Sinner's Response to Al-Buruni's Questions
Ibn Sinner was debating with Al-Buruni about the creation of the universe. The questions posed were varied, and they touch on large cosmological questions. They also touched on questions which were less well explored by natural philosophy. In one question he said that when a spherical glass bottle is filled with water, it can act like a burning lens. Ibn Sinner seems to have been almost completely ignorant of the field of optics in ancient Greece and in the Islamic world.
