Can You Safely Detox Yourself?
The desire to use the substance is just a feeling caused by a thought, okay? Your thought might be something like he would be relaxing to have a glass of wine. I deserve this beer. Smoking pot is the only way I can stop worrying about work. And I've earned this. Right, that's a classic one. Any of those thoughts can create the urge, create the desire to have a drink. That desire, that urge, you may physically feel it in your body like a craving,. It's just a feeling like anything else. So being able to change your habit means getting comfortable with feeling an urge without answering it and taking action.
