Quantum Mechanics
quanto mechanics is, by its construction, a strictly linear theory. The final state of the universe is going to be a quantum superposition of a state which in which the cat is did and one in which he is alive. Decoherence is technical, a trick for pretending to have solved the mesurement problem. Athe formalism quando mechanics hasn't changed a whit. As we go from the description it give of the photon to the description it gives of the cat, a we refuse to make a particular interpretation at the microscopic level. We have no business reintroducing that interpretation of the microscopic level."
