Why Do Plants Use Oxlate?
Plants are not around for us to eat. And destroy them and kill their babies and make them not procreate. They want to take over the world, just like everything else. Plants use oxlate in part to be able to draw minerals up into their structure. The other way that plants can use oxcilade is as a defense gant predation. It's actually an insect rime. So if you have something like inach, and you have those nice, tender looking leaves, spinach doesn't tend to get eaten much by insects. That would also apply to rhubarb plants. Well, those leaves look pretty pristine, and that's partly because they're not nutritious.
