What Was the Mission of Irac Eddy's Platoon?

Before he was arrested, eddie gallagher was a very experienced journeyman, chief in the seals. He had enlisted in the navy at aged 19, shortly before two thousand one he deployed a zamedic to a rock with a group of marines. When he took over this platoon, the men who served under him were worse sigped. They thought they had scored, because they'd gotten a really good leader.
