In the story grid, i didn't get into maslow's hierarchy of needs and hew, you know, that's where the content jenres come from. If i'd gotten into that in the book, i could have lost a lot of readers. So if you know that really important idea, it's going to help solve a lot of problems for you when you get stuck.
