The Basis of Our Assurance

verse 8 is the answer to the question where our assurance comes from. It means make you firm in faith and hope hold you. He will sustain you to the end guiltless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. Your assurance, if it is biblical and real, is not the assurance that He will save you if you stop believing.
