The Lens of Identity
The book is about the ways that identity affects our experience of the world. In chapter two, you give all these examples about how when football players play a game and something happens, depending on like what team the fan is supporting, they're going to interpret the video footage differently. People who identify as the police draw very different conclusions about who's at fault than people who do not identified as the police. And so we're filtering the world through our identities.
