RNA World Is Possible Inside a Component

In a 2013 paper you led with Jack Sostak, non enzymatic template directed RNA synthesis inside model proto cells. That sounds super simple, but that was one of the biggest kind of unsolved questions about the origin of life. How could we have self primitive cells with RNA doing anything useful inside? And so that's the question we answered in this paper is we demonstrated that it is possible to have an RNA do its thing inside a vesicle which means it could have originated on an earth-like planet.
