The Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Rule
In 2015, HUD put out its own rule called the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Rule. It was considered this long-awaited victory for civil rights. There were lots of critiques of this policy at the time from the right and from the left. But it became a huge campaign issue for the 2016 election.
