The Boland Amendments - A History of the Contras

Amendments were passed by congress in the early 1980s to stop government funding of Nicaragua's opposition. The amendment was later changed to prohibit any funds for military or par military operations. No court ever made a determination whether bolan covered the n s c, and no one could be indicted for violating it. Congress later resumed aid the contras, totaling over 300 million dollars.
