After Hours on Milaguro Street is a steamy romance by Angelina M. Lopez. It's set in Freedom, Kansas, one of five states outside the Southwest that has more than 1% Mexican Americans. Mexicans have been in Kansas since before it was even a state. A big portion of the migration of Mexicans to this region was because they were working on the real roads after the Chinese Exclusion Act.
