Slavery as we expect to see it, you know, jby ebjecting our assumptions on to it. But there were things that came to mind from the american experience that aren't often really talked about very openly. And a major thing was the fact that slave traders and slave purchasers in h America cared about the ethnic and national origins of the slaves. So this is the sense in which the disorganization is not just for the mediaeval slave trade. These are imposing categories on a diversity of humanity that doesn't always fit in the categories. Now now what do we do?
