The author argues that it's generally a creed upon that there are many ugly buildings, but there are not many old buildings which are ugly. The British government's building better building commission made hundreds of interviews and a recurring theme was people saying newer buildings were ugly compared to older ones. There is evidence against the idea of survivorship, bias in buildings. So old images don't show us ugly buildings.
