The Evolution of the Personal Computer

The personal computer started off with dumb terminals and then smart terminals that were connecting to mainframes. And at some point was able to displace the old framework to where the equivalent of mainframes are now running on the software base pioneered on these personal computers. So it was this new software base, this new framework that was able to compete and thrive and in fact add value during the initial phase to the old framework. But as it grew, it was eventually, it eventually was able to become dominant.
