Is the 18 Year Property Cycle Broken?
A year ago, last spring, we were starting to get into a boom. And all the signs were there that the 18 year property cycle, while a little slow was on track. It doesn't feel like that though, does it? No, far from it. The boom quickly came to a halt. Property prices softened in some areas that even fell. In a year ended up on a positive last year in terms of growth for most areas, but just a small positive. It was certainly a year with two halves. That is not what should be happening right now.
