Pompeo's Firing of the State Department Inspector General
Inspector General Steve Linick was fired by President Trump on Friday night. The State Department IG is supposed to be an internal watchdog within the executive branch of the government. CNN's John Defterios says there are several possible reasons why Pompeo may have wanted him fired. He says it runs counter to the whole spirit of having a inspector general, and he doesn't think that's the issue here. defterios: In fact, I think Pompeo wants to make the issue about himself with his dog.
