Thornly became his own self fulfilling prophecy in a way, that he got caught up in his own strange loops. I think the paranoid skitsoprenia, which he developed on and off, it seems, over the years. There was that kind of ran through the family, as my understandingng lse experimenting with psychodelics. Lsd, i think contributed to his eventual paranoid delusions. He ultimately ended up believing even wilder theories as his paranoia grew over time.
