Samson's Story

The man known as Samson was locked in a cell dug out from the ground, buried beneath mud and ash. The papers said he had attacked a friend with a cutlass over a debt. They said he was a murderer, spared from hanging by the now dead Governor Mutett. There's no telling what happened to him after May 8, 1902.
