Are You Imagining a Lemon or a Lemon on the Table?
It is indeed important to usually try to be able to distinguish between a simulation and an actual perceptionr. Even people who aren't psychotic can easily confuse tha simulation with the perception. The richer the imagery they had when they imagine it, the more likely they are to think so these simulations, they appear to be close to perceptions.
