Theravada Buddhism: The Emptiness of the Self
If you just keep thinking in this direction and stop there, you will get Buddhism, at least the Theravada kind. That's the talk I'm going to give this Sunday, Shunyam. What does emptiness mean? It means exactly what Gaurav is saying. When you search for the self, you will not find anything. And if you stop there, that's Theravada Buddhism. Most of Mahayana Buddhism also, only the highest, deepest knowledge revealed in Zokchan or in what is that called Mahamudra traditions in Tibetan Buddhism.
