CHAPTER

The Complexity of Mathematics

There's not necessarily one foundation for mathematics. Are the primitives limited in number is there a set of primitives or is that set growing? That gets complicated. In a lot of ways it doesn't matter to basic practicing mathematics they're all the same. I think if we come across other beings in the universe we will agree on what follows logically from other things and the basic rules of mathematics will be very much an agreement on. We might have different primitives we might have different setups but we'll agree on the fundamental statements.
