The Importance of a Drug Recall Law in India

State authorities don't even have the mechanisms to withdraw that drug from the market, they can't even do that. India doesn't have a recall law, so to speak, wherein the regulator can force the company to conduct a recall and also supervise the entire process. The most effective drug recall process is one which is publicized widely to the public, and that just doesn't happen in India. There are some drug recall guidelines, but those guidelines lack the force of law, said Prashanda.
