Macron's Speech on the Future of EU-China Relations
The EU is shifting towards an American position, but Macron puts the emphasis more on maintaining EU strategic autonomy. The latest move really from the British government under Sunak has been to deal with it or try anyway, to deal with the semiconductor chip issue by getting closer to Japan. I think that we're beginning to see the shape of what post-Brexit Britain's foreign policy might look like. We may have alighted on a sort of semi-coherent optimism about Britain’s coherence, but it does look like we're almost blindfolded in some ways.
