The Savonarola - A Preacher
The Savonarola felt a call to be a preacher. He had visions, literal visions of plagues and of catastrophes being visited on the Italy. So he becomes a Dominican friar and develops a reputation as a preacher. The Medici family invited him to Florence by the Medici family but they can't get rid of him because they don't technically own the monastery.
