The RMX16 - A Classic Drum Machine of the 1980s

The Lindrum is a classic drum machine of the 1980s, one that featured on both Prince's Kiss and on Jana Jackson's album Rhythm Nation. So here it's giving this great driving beat, if we want to thump pop sizzle it. The kick is on one and three, the snare is on two and four, and there isn't really a proper sizzle - which actually does contribute to the wide open atmosphere of this song. If you wouldn't think about taking just a segment of the reverb tail and then looping it into its own musical element, but it's a great example of one of the many ways that musicians were experimenting with new digital equipment.
